Pattana Golf Club & Resort is a full Pattaya golf resort integrating a 27 hole layout with large clubhouse and on-site accommodations. Pattana is accessible from both Pattaya and Bangkok. Bangsaen, Pattaya and Rayong beaches are located around 45 minutes from the golf resort.
The course was named after the founder’s husband Dr. Pattana Juangroongruangkit, and consists of three 9 hole loops exotically named Andreae (A), Brookei (B), and Calypso (C). The golf course is built on over 1,000 acres of land and is located north east of Pattaya in Chonburi province. Surrounding hills and meadows add to the natural environment around the course. Palm trees, large water hazards, undulating fairways and fast Tifdwarf greens add to make a challenging layout, particularly well-suited for low handicappers and scratch golfers. Combine this to the relatively windy conditions, especially when the afternoon trade winds off the Gulf of Thailand roll in and you have one of the most challenging courses in the Pattaya area.
Pattana has adequate facilities including several restaurants, practice areas and sports complex. The Pattaya golf resort also has a variety of accommodations available including hotel rooms, serviced apartments, and villas. The caddies and other service staff are well-trained. However, course conditions vary, so it is best to check with a local agent before playing. Also Pattana caters to large local Thai and Asian groups which makes tee times, especially on weekends at a premium and can be a concern for some Pattaya golf visitors.
